Silversea Silver Spirit Food & Wine Review with Slideshow

Whenever friends get together to talk about recent vacations, the conversation inevitably ends up revolving around food and wine. For us, dining experiences often define a voyage and if the food and wine don’t make the cut, we won’t sail with that cruise line again. I’m happy to say that we thoroughly enjoyed all of the restaurants we sampled aboard Silversea Silver Spirit. (See our Silversea Silver Spirit food and wine slideshow here.)

Silversea Specialty Restaurant Seishin

Silversea’s Silver Spirit houses two specialty restaurants that incur a per person charge: Le Champagne and Seishin. Seishin is Silver Spirit’s Asian restaurant, which offers three degustation menus. The surcharge is $30 per person. The menu changes nightly but many items, like the sashimi platter and spider crab roll, are served several times during a cruise.

Cocktail of the Day Aboard Silversea Silver Spirit

I’m a teetotaler and don’t generally take advantage of the libations aboard all-inclusive cruise ships. However, Silversea Silver Spirit bartenders mix up some fine cocktails that tempt even me!

Menu: Prime C Aboard Azamara Club Cruises Ships

For the carnivores among us, there’s nothing better than a tender, buttery prime steak. At Azamara’s Prime C steakhouse, you’ll feast on excellent steaks, chops, and seafood.

Menu: Aqualina Aboard Azamara Club Cruises Ships

For those who live for the flavors of the Mediterranean, Aqualina is the specialty restaurant you’ll head to aboard Azamara’s Journey and Quest. Choose from the chef-selected tasting menu or order a la carte.

Menu: Discoveries Restaurant Aboard Azamara Cruises Ships

Discoveries is the main dining room on both the Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest. The dining room espouses “classic dining favorites” but the chef also spices things up by presenting entrees such as “drunken” shrimp and osso buco.

Menu: SeaDream Yacht Club Dining Salon

The Dining Salon is the main dining room aboard both SeaDream I and SeaDream II. Weather permitting, you may also dine al fresco.

Menu: Signatures Le Cordon Bleu Restaurant Aboard Regent Ships

This French restaurant is operated by famed cooking school Le Cordon Bleu. Open only for dinner, you’ll need a reservation and men are asked to wear jackets.

Menu: La Veranda Aboard Regent Ships

At breakfast and lunch, La Veranda offers sumptuous buffets—both indoors and al fresco. In the evening, the restaurant serves a la carte regional specialties.

Menu: Compass Rose Main Dining Room Aboard Regent Ships

Compass Rose is the main dining room aboard all three Regent Seven Seas ships: Seven Seas Mariner, Seven Seas Navigator, and Seven Seas Voyager. The restaurant serves continental cuisine at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Most tables have an ocean view.

Menu: Prime 7 Aboard Regent Voyager and Mariner

Prime 7 is an intimate steakhouse serving USDA Prime beef aboard Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Voyager and Mariner. This restaurant is open for dinner only and reservations are required. If you enjoy excellent beef, lamb, pork, chicken, or seafood dishes, you’ll want to dine at Prime 7 at least once during your Regent cruise.
